From the location in which plant grow or animals are reared they pick up an 'environmental fingerprint'. This profile is specific to the country, or even the region of production. The fingerprint from the food and feed products is compared against our large database of authentic sample and using expert interpretation, we report on sample consistency with the declared origin. This methodology is useful for claim validation due diligence and can be helpful with products of PDO (protected designation of origin) and PGI (protected geographical indication).
